Proverbs 11:25: “He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.”
After her car flipped three times, my friend, Robin suffered serious injuries. The other driver was on the run from the police and had hit Robin’s car in the process.
Yet Robin continues to serve faithfully as a speaker, encourager to others, and the national military speaker trainer for Stonecroft Ministries.
She spent three days with me to work on ministry projects. God multiplied our time, and we accomplished more than we thought possible.
In between the work, we squeezed in lunch at a beachfront restaurant, dinner at a Chinese buffet, sampling peanuts at The Peanut Shop, and time to watch a DVD of a Christian musical.
In this age of “me, me, me,” and the attitude of what one can get out of giving, I’m blessed to know a friend like Robin. God refreshed my friend who refreshes many.
God calls all of us to ministry of one type or another. Will you follow God and refresh others? Will you believe his promise of refreshing you, or will you follow the world’s way and focus on yourself?
Dear God, help me serve in your name and refresh others. Amen.
Application: When will you refresh others this week and allow God to refresh you?
